This was a great dining experience of unique flavors. The menu is full of savory, cultural dishes, appetizers and some familiar favorites that are sure to please your taste bud's palate. There's also a good selection of vegetarian dishes. The drink menu has a large array of flavor combinations that will please the imagination. Noodles come in three different styles: House, Hand Pulled or Hand Shaved. Definitely try the Fluffy Ice dessert. This eatery is sure to please and have you coming back for more. I'll definitely be returning. My advice for dining in... make sure to put your name on the waiting list before arrival (average wait time is 10/15 minutes).
There is a glass partition bergen the dining area and part of the kitchen. We got to watch our noodles be hand pulled, made to order. Pretty cool. We sampled several items from the menu, all of which were great. The pork bao were huge and so good. Don't skip the tea eggs. They're inexpensive and so good. Amazing what a subtle change has on flavor. And the chicken Shumai, yum. My daughter ordered whole shrimp as an ingredient in her soup. For 2.99, she got 5 huge shrimp. I got the noodle soup which has a floral taste to it that took me a minute to get used to.
As a Native St. Louisan, I find inspiration in the consistency of Corner 17 since their doors first opened. Though I travel in and out of the city as a Grad student, each order I place reminds me of the joy of authentic flavors. The scallion pancakes transport me back to my time in China, delivering a burst of genuine taste that warms the soul. Every dish arrives piping hot, a heartfelt promise of quality. After years of exploring their menu, I've yet to encounter a disappointment, and their hand-shaved noodles truly shine with deliciousness!
Always awesome food! We are all vegan and come here every time we are in town for the wonderful vegan options. The drinks are amazing too, the mango pomelo is my favorite. They can get very busy, so be prepared to wait for a table especially on weekends, but the food is well worth the wait!
absolutely incredible experience here. I was visiting STL for the day and on my way back home decided to give this place a shot. WOW WOW WOW, was I pleasantly surprised. Everything from the service to the food was spot on. They weren’t missing anything. Super fun environment.
I love everything about this place from the noodles being made from scratch in front of you to the menu selection. I had the teriyaki chicken and it was amazing flavor large portions that’s shareable. I wanted to dine in but the wait was a hr bc there is not a lot of seating but i will try again. I like to try the dumplings and they also have a large selection of bubba tea
Hand pulled authentic noodles, you can even watch them make the noodles. Amazing broth in their noodle soups. Casual place with great food. Tried tea eggs for the first time here and now I am on a mission to find more somewhere close to where I live.
I enjoyed an early birthday celebration with a friend tonight. This has a variety of traditional and Americanized food. The open kitchen is a cool addition to this fantastic restaurant. You can watch them hand-pull noodles and make everything through the large window. We started out with the beef egg rolls. They were large and crispy. And we also ordered some of the dumplings in chili oil. I ordered the Sweet and Sour Flounder and it was absolutely amazing! The food is always consistent and full of flavor. I highly recommend checking it out if you haven't.
